Our work is international by nature, and Switzerland sits at the centre of it. Operating from a country with a strong international vocation and a recognised reference point for global institutions, IES engages across borders and continents.
That position places us close to the International Olympic Committee and to the international sports federations, allowing us to engage in person on the branch of esports connected to sport, the fast-growing field of virtual sports. It also gives IES a genuine capacity for international and intercontinental dialogue with the many kinds of organisations that shape the esports ecosystem.

Founded and led by Paolo Blasi
A seasoned leader in the global esports industry, Paolo Blasi has built his work around international collaboration and a network developed over more than a decade. Organising competitive events since 2012, he represented Italy in international competitions and, between 2016 and 2023, as ambassador for Italy to major global esports federations, helped qualify more than 30 Italian athletes across titles such as Counter-Strike, DOTA 2, eFootball, Hearthstone, League of Legends and Tekken.
In 2022 he founded Independent Electronic Sports, turning over a decade of experience into an initiative dedicated to strategic consulting, training and research. He works across institutional relations, research collaborations, educational programmes and the strategic management of international esports projects.
